Quality documentation for instrument buyers
Use this hub to prepare a product-specific document request and check the scope of any record you receive. Availability, revision, status and applicability must be confirmed for the exact products and destination market in your enquiry.
Ask for evidence that matches the quoted products
A certificate, report or specification is useful only when it can be tied to the legal manufacturer, quoted product and requirement being checked. A website statement or logo is not a substitute for the current document.
| Topic | Ask for | Confirm before relying on it |
|---|---|---|
| Quality management system and certificates | The current certificate or registration record relevant to your requirement | Legal holder, exact scope, number, issuer, issue and expiry dates, and current status |
| Product specification | The specification or controlled drawing for each requested item | Product name, catalogue number or SKU, pattern, size, dimensions, material, finish and revision |
| Materials and finishing | Product-specific material information and any applicable material or test record | Grade, covered products, record reference, test method and connection to the order or material lot |
| Inspection and acceptance | The applicable inspection plan, method or report | Stage, characteristic, criteria, sampling basis, result, record reference and reviewer |
| Nonconformance and traceability | The relevant procedure and a responsibly redacted record example | Identifiers, material and production links, disposition authority, retention and complaint responsibility |
| Reusable and sterile status | The product label, instructions and status record for each item | Whether it is reusable or single use, supplied sterile or non-sterile, and which reprocessing information applies |
| Packaging and labelling | The proposed packaging specification and label artwork | Configuration, materials, identifiers, importer details, language, barcode and artwork approval |
| Importer and technical support | A product and market-specific list of records available for review | Owner, product scope, market scope, revision, delivery format and access limits |

Open topicDocumentation FAQs
What should a quality document request include?
Identify the buyer, destination country, product family, name, catalogue number or SKU, pattern, size and quantity. Name each record and state the scope, issuer, standard, language, format or validity requirement to be checked.
How do I know whether a certificate applies to my order?
Check the legal holder, certificate number, issuer, scope, covered products, issue date, expiry date and current status. A broad company statement does not show that a certificate covers a specific product or market.
Does website copy prove material, inspection or sterile status?
No. Ask for the current product-specific specification, label, instruction, certificate or record. Confirm that its identifiers match the quoted item and, where applicable, the relevant lot or order.
How should reusable or sterile status be confirmed?
Check the exact product label, packaging, specification and current instructions. These sources should agree on whether the item is reusable or single use and supplied sterile or non-sterile.
What if I do not know the catalogue number or SKU?
Provide the product family, catalogue name, pattern, size, photograph or product-page link. Add enough detail to distinguish the requested item from similar variants.
How do I request documents through the website?
Open the request form, complete the buyer and product fields, select Yes under Documentation Needed, and list the required records in the message field.
Send a product-specific document request
Identify the products, select Yes under Documentation Needed, then name each record, its required scope and the destination-market requirement you need checked.
